Classes made to order

All our classes are, above all, practical. Students get to speak in English from day one while role-playing real-world situations in class. What’s more, all content is personalized for the restaurant or establishment where the employee works.

We take into account your specialties and unique circumstances, your menu, your location, your Tripadvisor reviews – everything to ensure that your staff use correct and appropriate English with your customers – thereby adding value to the customer experience.

How are the classes structured?

Our courses are usually 28 contact hours: 4 hours per week (two two-hour sessions) for seven weeks. Classes are generally offered in November and December or January and February, that is, for 7 weeks.

But the courses can be structured in any way, for example, intensively with 28 hours in a single month. Our Super Intensive course gives students total immersion for two hours a day over ten days – 20 hours of classes and workshops in total. It’s an effective and more economical way of getting employees up to speed.

Where?

Classes are given in the Sóller area. We think it’s best to offer the classes at the student’s workplace. Of course, this is not always possible, and there are many other options.

For seminars, intensive courses and special classes we’re more than happy to go to nearby towns and to Palma.

The maximum number of students per class is six and and there is a minimum of four. If you don’t have six employees interested in our classes, don’t worry. We can make up the numbers with students from other establishments with similar levels and needs.

Super Intensive.

Super Intensive courses range from 1,326 to 1,560 euros for a 20-hour course. These courses are eligible for subsidies.

Hotel English

We can provide training for hotel industry employees, from receptionists to cleaning staff.

Retail English

English is also a must in the retail sector. We develop tailor-made courses for sectors such as fashion stores, luxury and gift shops, and ice cream parlors.

Your teacher!

Hi! I’m Barry. I’m from Ireland and I have 30 years of experience as an English teacher. Over the years I have given classes to large companies and individuals. In Mallorca, I have worked with hotels Es Port, Es Molí and La Residencia, restaurants such as Ca’n Pintxo and shops including Fet a Sóller. I also work as a journalist and translator.
